Okay, will somebody tell me where the last six months went?! It hasn't been all wine and roses, but the first half-year of Heléna's life has gone incredibly fast. Natalia loves her little sister to pieces, and we're starting to enjoy some of the benefits of having multiple children! The other day we were driving in the car (a rare event) and the two girls were giggling and shrieking in the back seat, mimicking each other and making us all laugh! Natalia is great about entertaining Heléna when she's impatient or hungry or tired, which helps me to no end!
We've all been watching with great interest as Heléna has learned to roll over, play with her toys, eat solid food, and attempt to sit up on her own. I call the poor child "Natalia" all the time because she reminds me so much of how her big sister looked as a baby! I've been thinking about posting photos online and having a "guess the baby" contest.
We are so thankful for this happy, healthy little girl. Our sleepless nights come and go, and we're dealing with teething and other transitions toward independence ... but overall we are doing well. Wow! That is exactly how I remember Natalia. You need to label the pictures now, or you will not be able to tell them apart in 20 years.
