My partner-in-life and I are celebrating 13 years of marriage today! We aren't actually together, which often happens on birthdays and other occasions, given his work-travel demands ... but we celebrate nonetheless, and we know we are blessed in this age of short-term relationships and frequent divorce. This boy and I have been together since we were children attending high school in Stromsburg, Nebraska, USA. If you start counting our years together from the very beginning, we're up to 22! Granted, we had a few breaks during college, as we tried to grow up and figure out who we were as individuals (and maybe try to find someone "better" to spend our lives with -- ha!) but we kept circling back to each other and finally tied the knot on June 3, 1995. Amazing how much two people can change as individuals, and yet still grow together as husband and wife, as a team, and now as a family. Cheers, Monte!
